The Electronic funds transfer (EFT) code validation specification and test scenario allows for the enhancement of software products by incorporating official ATO EFT code validation rules.
The receipt of a valid code by the ATO should ensure client accounts are credited with the payment without delay. It is the intention of the ATO to encourage incorporation of this front-end validation of the EFT code into software used by clients to make payments to the ATO.
This specification outlines the valid format of the EFT code and the algorithm which should be used to validate the code.
