Description

From 1 January 2020, Commonwealth Government agencies capable of receiving eInvoices have been paying eligible eInvoices within five days and paying interest on any late payments.

The government has now announced a mandate for eInvoicing by all agencies by 1 July 2022, with over 80% of invoices being able to be received electronically by 1 July 2021.

As a digital service provider supporting government agency clients or suppliers to government, there are two ways your software solution can be eInvoicing enabled:

  1. you can partner with one or more access points who are Peppol certified, or
  2. you can become an access point yourself and achieve Peppol certification and become accredited in Australia.
