The ATO has published a Fund USI and SPIN Look-up Table to assist employers obtain new fund data required to send contributions using SuperStream.
A Unique Superannuation Idenfitier (USI) is used in SuperStream to uniquely identify an APRA fund and/or its superannuation product which an employee (member) is contributing to.
How to search the Fund USI and Lookup Table
To use the Fund USI and SPIN Look-up Table you will need to know either/ or:
- Fund ABN
- Fund Name
- SPIN (Super product identifier number)
- USI (Unique superannuation identifier)
- Product name
By using the Fund USI and SPIN Look-up Table, employers will also be able to confirm if contribution restrictions exist for a product. Where a product has a contribution restriction you are advised to contact the fund concerned before using this information.
Note: The Fund USI and SPIN Look-up Table only contains information for large APRA regulated funds – small APRA regulated funds and self-managed super funds are not included.
Version 0.1 of the Fund USI and SPIN Look-up Table is aligned with version 35 of the Fund Validation Service (FVS).
