Just over 2 months in the role, leading the Digital Partnership Office (and broader Digital Partnership Planning and Governance branch), and I’m really starting to get a sense of the strong collaboration and partnership between the ATO and DSPs. It’s been great to meet with many of you over the past few months to hear more about the important work you do.
Last week was a challenging time for all of us, with core systems unavailable over the weekend and SBR1 and SBR2 EVTE being unavailable for several days. We understand the impact this had on DSPs, especially DSPs preparing for tax time and their STP Phase 2 transition. We thank you for your patience as we worked to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. As a reminder you can access various system status and dashboards through these links:
- SBR2 System Status
- PLS dashboard
- Superannuation dashboard
- Unplanned system issues (Online services for DSPs) watch the page for notifications and status updates.
With tax time just around the corner, its positive to see so many products in the testing environment nearly ready. Please ensure you keep up to date with the many helpful Tax Time 2022 forms and resources in the Collaboration Hub of Online services for DSPs.
Also in the Collaboration Hub, you may wish to view our recently updated DSP Roadmap. This document provides information on ATO initiatives which may impact you and your clients. These include:
- current and future initiatives and expected benefits
- associated ATO program of work and the ATO strategic initiative
- information on consultation groups.
I look forward to seeing some of you face-to-face at the Strategic Working Group meeting in Brisbane on 16 June. This is exciting for me, not only as it is one of the first opportunities, we have had in recent years to meet face to face, but also my first opportunity to meet some of you in person.
I appreciate your openness in providing feedback to us to date and encourage you all to keep doing this as we work in partnership to deliver digital solutions for the Australian community. By working collaboratively, we can continue to deliver key priorities for our services, channels, and content, and meet the changing needs of the DSP community.
I look forward to our continued partnership and working together to deliver on our priorities for the second half of 2022 work and into 2023.
