We have developed an ebMS/AS4 messaging standard extending on the Standard Business Reporting (SBR) initiative to simplify business to government reporting obligations.
If you are planning to build ebMS3 services, you can register for SBR as a software developer and access unrestricted artefacts on sbr.gov.au. We recommend using the OASIS standard AS4 profile of ebMS 3.0 version 1.0 if you would like to build your own ebMS3 AS4 client.
The ATO used to provide an embedded client that digital service providers could use to develop and test their ebMS3 services. We are no longer able to provide access to the embedded client due to the conditions of the license agreement, (PDF, 104KB).
