Delivery insights and future program – SBR and BDE
The program delivery roadmap was presented to the group providing a high-level forward plan for the 23/24 FY.
Work is occurring on internal improvements to technology and resilience programs.
In balancing the internal and external programs, reprioritisation of ATO work has occurred.
SBR2 will transition to native cloud to improve resilience and stability.
Issues influencing adoption of some of the value-add SBR2 services were discussed.
An overview of the Tax Time 2022 retrospective was provided to the group.
An update was provided on the ATO transitioning away from TLS1.0 and TLS1.1.
ATO Priority work and recalibration exercise
An update was provided to members on the ATO’s ongoing recalibration work, highlighting the key priorities for 22/23 FY.
The ATO will provide DSPs early notice of work coming off pause to allow for preparation and minimise costly re-work.
Delivery insights and future program API Portal
Assuring the infrastructure surrounding the API Portal is a key priority. The ATO is ensuring the correct strategy is in place to support API Portal onboarding for DSPs to enable take up of APIs and to realise the value proposition.
DSG, Authorisation Flows
The new OAuth2 flows are now live on the API Portal. A walk through was provided of the flows involved to authenticate using the OAuth2 protocol.
API Portal future work
DSPs will have the ability to provide feedback earlier on draft API specs.
APIs delivered in the API portal will have a base capability that DSPs can consume with features that will be enhanced incrementally.
ATO Channel Strategy (DSG, SBR, BDE)
A high-level overview of the ATO’s Channel Strategy and Data Channel Strategy was provided.
Messaging Technology, A Perspective & Retrospective
A comprehensive insight into messaging technology and its history was shared with the group.
