Document interchange system (DIS) specification v11.27

This specification is current at the latest date shown in the 'Summary of changes' but it may be amended at any time without prior notice. Only those persons and companies who have been sent copies by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) will be notified of changes.

Attention

This specification supersedes, and has some minor differences from Version 11.26. Access to DIS for the 2013/14 financial year will require an implementation based on Version 11.27 (access through AnyConnect). However, Version 11.26 (access through old VPNClient) may still be available depending on client upgrades and fixes.

Changes in 11.27

The main change is the replacement of VPNClient with AnyConnect VPNClient for the establishment of the secure communications (VPN) tunnel. Also the minimum application password length has increased to 12, other password edit checks remain the same. Please also note that Internet VPN connectivity now uses DNS rather than an explicit IP address.
