The final electronic reporting specification version (2.0.0) of the Taxable payments annual report has been released. Tracked and clean versions have been published.
This specification is to be used in the development of software for the electronic lodgment of the Taxable payments annual report for the year ending 30 June 2018 and subsequent financial years.
Changes to the reporting specification have been made for the new reporting measure that requires government entities at the federal, state, territory and local levels to report to the ATO payments they make wholly or partly for services. Additionally, government entities at the federal, state and territory levels will also be required to report grants they make to entities with an ABN.
The measure commences on 1 July 2017.

Businesses in the building and construction industry currently using the Taxable payments annual report electronic reporting specification versions 1.0.0, 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 can continue to do so.
