Practitioner lodgment service working group

The practitioner lodgment service (PLS) has replaced the electronic lodgment service (ELS). Tax professionals will use Standard Business Reporting (SBR) enabled software to lodge through the PLS.

The Practitioner lodgment service (PLS) working group facilitates engagement between the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and the software industry to support the implementation of Tax Time and other practitioner services via SBR.

The Practitioner lodgment service working group will:

  • support provision of a reliable and secure practitioner lodgment service
  • support delivery of efficient and effective tax and super systems
  • facilitate a digital ecosystem that supports the streamlining and integrity of tax and superannuation systems
  • review and provide feedback on Tax Time release details and specifications
  • assist in co-design of new services and continuous improvement activities.

Sessions for the PLS Working Group are guided by the Terms of reference (PDF, 136KB)
